2. Aims & Objectives
The aims and objectives of the club are - Promote and maintain Crown Green Bowling in Wrenthorpe Encourage new bowlers to join the Club
3. Membership
Membership of the Club is open to all regardelss of age, ethnic origin, religious background, sexula orientation and physical or mental ability. Membership fees shall be fixed annually at the Annual General Meeting All members will be subject to the regulations of the constitution and by joining the Club will be deemed to accept these regulations of the contitution that the Club has adopted The rules and regulations of the British Crown Green Bowling Association and the Yorkshire County Crown Green Bowling Association will apply to the Club A copy of the rules and constitution will be posted in the clubhouse
4. Officers of the Club
The Officers of the Club shall be elcted annually at the Annual General Meeting, which shall be held in January each year and shall consist of - Chairman Secretary Treasurer Team Captains
5. Committee
The Club will be managed through the Committee consisting of - The Officers of the Club Only these persons will have the right to vote at meetings of the Committee The Committee meetings will be convened by the Secretary of the Club and held as required The quorum for business to be agreed at Committee meetings will be four The Committee will be responsible for adopting new policy, codes of practice and rules that affect the organisation of the club
6. Finance
All surplus income will be used to maintain and replace Club facilities and equipment All club monies will be banked in an account held in the name of the club The Club Treasurer will be held responsible for the finances of the Club The financial year of the Club will end on 31st December An audited statement of annual accounts will be presented by the Treasurer at the Annual General Meeting Any cheques drawn against Club funds should hold the signatures of the Treasurer plus one other officer. The two signatures of any cheque should not be related or co-habiting
7. Annual General Meeting
Notice of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be given by the Club Secretary. Not less than 14 clear days notice to be given to all members. The quorum for the AGM will be 15. The AGM will receive from Offivers of the Committee, and a statementof audited accounts. Nominations for Officers of the Committee will be sent to the Secretary prior to the AGM Election of Officers shall take place at the AGM All members will have the right to one vote at the AGM, the Chairman having the casting vote The Committee has the right to call Extraordinary General Meetings (EGMs) outside the AGM at any time The Committee must inform members of the specific items of business they wish to see discussed at any EGM. In addition, ordinary members can request an EGM outside of the AGM via the production of a petition to the Sectretary containing the signatures of a minimum of four members. This petition similary must state the specificitems of business the ordinary members wish to see discussed at any EGM Procedures for EGM's will be the same as for the AGM, except for the fact that only the specific items of business for which the EGM was requested can be transacted at the meeting
8. Dissolution
A resolution to dissolve the Club can only be passes at an AGM or EGM through a majority vote of the membership. In the event of dissolution any assetts of the Club that remain following settlements of all outstanding debts will be used to support other crown green bowling clubs in the Wakefield District as determined by the Management Committee
9. Amendments to the Contsitution
The Contitution will only be changed through agreement by a majority vaote at an AGM or EGM
10. Declaration
Wrenthorpe Bowling Club hereby adopts and accepts this constitution as a current operating guide regulating the actions of its members 28th January 2013

Wrenthorpe Bowling Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all its members, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all. The club believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents associated with the club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with Club Safeguarding Officer – David White As a member of Wrenthorpe Bowling Club you are expected to abide by the following code of practice:
All members must take responsibility in ensuring they are up to date with the rules, understand and adhere to them.
All members must respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of age, gender, ability, race, cultural background, religious beliefs or sexual identity.
Members should recognise the valuable contribution made by coaches and officials who are usually volunteers. They give their time and resources to provide bowls for you.
All members must respect officials and publicly accept their decisions.
All members should be a positive role model, treat other players and officials with the same level of respect you would expect to be shown to you.
Use correct and proper language at all times.
Members are not allowed to smoke within the Club.
Members should keep to agreed timings for training and competitions or inform their coach or team manager if they are going to be late.
Members must wear suitable footwear on the green, as per the club rules.
Bullying of any sort will not be tolerated.
Encourage everyone to enjoy sport and understand that people have different motivations for taking part.
